Trump supports immigration visas backed by Musk: ‘I have many H-1B visas on my properties’

This shouldn't surprise anyone who paid attention to the election. Trump said he wanted to give a green card to every foreign college student who graduated from an American university. The right being up in arms about Elon's and Vivek's statements only indicates how much they were distracted by the pomp and fanfare and how little they were actually listening.

President-elect Trump told The Post Saturday he supports immigration visas for highly skilled workers, appearing to side with Elon Musk in the roiling intra-MAGA debate on the issue.

“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump said by phone, referring to the H-1B program, which permits companies to hire foreign workers in specialty occupations.

“I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program,” added Trump, who restricted access to foreign worker visas in his first administration and has been critical of the program in the past.

Despite criticisms, Trump is likely to continue supporting H-1B visas, as he recently reaffirmed his belief in the program, stating, "I've always been in favor of the visas" and emphasizing their importance for skilled labor in the U.S. economy[1][3]. His alignment with tech leaders like Elon Musk suggests a strategic pivot to appeal to the business community, despite pushback from hardline immigration advocates within his base[2][6]. This division indicates that while some supporters oppose H-1B visas, Trump's established ties and past usage of the program may lead him to maintain his current stance[4][9].

👉 Lesson for some MAGA : Trump is primarily a businessman, not a politician, which means that US businesses often take precedence in his decision-making. :)

No one is up in arms.

Made up Fake Chaos.

From TDS Mentally ill people.

Dems want CHAOS. You thrive to create it.

There is nothing here but your BS

Actually, people DID get pissed with Elon's comments on x, like when he said "F*** yourself in the face" to a Trump supporter who disagreed with him on H-1B visas.

Most folks are simply saying that there is H-1B abuse, which turns out to be true, when you look into it. It's not "America first" when companies hire foreign workers who will work for less, at the expense of qualified American workers.

It really seems like some of you never go outside of USMB. If you go to other places online, this IS being talked about, and not everyone is knee-jerkingly defending Elon simply because he's on the Trump team.

Steal as many of the best and brightest from other countries as you can...engineers, programers, chemists, doctors.

That is how we built the Apollo space program and beat Russia to the Moon.

I have a problem with ILLEGALS.

NOT LEGALS.

Not a dang issue

Taz is a pos.

Taz is one of these people whom you must always guess the point of what they are saying because they can never just come out and make their point directly, openly, unequivocally, then if you ask anything, clarification, all you ever get (if anything at all) is an evasive, dismissive reply like Mac1958 that if anything, suggests you are somehow stupid for not being able to read their minds.

In the annals of psychology, that points to a very insecure person with an inferiority complex who must assert the security of their ego by tearing down others.
