Trump supports immigration visas backed by Musk: ‘I have many H-1B visas on my properties’

Neither are you. The legal system that issues birth certificates, passports any voter IDs agrees with me though.
No I am not. I do however know that there are legal references of the language in the amendment and you simply ignore it. Do some research and learn a bit!

When one fills out a birth certificate, does it reference parents? hahahahahahahahahha

Who is going to file a case and take it all the way to the SC only to have it denied at every single level. What reason would they have to review the decision that has been case law for over 125 years? You just can't seem to grasp how lawsuits work.
we will likely see very soon.

I'm not at all ignoring your feelings about the language, I'm in fact laughing at them.

It does. My daughters passport lists her and her mother's birth place as Jamaica but since I'm an American citizen so is my daughter. In fact my daughters birth certificate is Jamaican and what establishes her citizenship in that case is the Consulars report of a birth abroad.

yep, certainly does reference birth place of parents. oops!!!!

It has been since the turn of the last century, frail fucktard.
sorry chief 2. No one has attempted to remove babies of illegals. With Trump in office, that will start to happen. So you want the babies now separated from the parents?

Care4all ,

Many today assume the second half of the citizenship clause ("subject to the jurisdiction thereof") merely refers to the day-to-day laws to which we are all subject. But the original understanding referred to political allegiance. Being subject to U.S. jurisdiction meant, as then-Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Lyman Trumbull stated, "not owing allegiance to anybody else [but] subject to the complete jurisdiction of the United States." The author of the provision, Sen. Jacob Merritt Howard of Michigan, pointed out that the jurisdiction language "will not, of course, include foreigners."
Oh silly one, you left out the rest of the amendment. FULL STOP!

This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of person.[9]

STOP FUDGING WHAT HE ACTUALLY SAID.....

EVERY PERSON born here became citizens with the exception of foreigners with diplomatic immunity such as ambassadors, who legally bear allegiances to their foreign government.

READ IT AND WEEP!

That's up to their parents. My grandparents sent my father's younger siblings to America to stay with him and his brother when my father 20 years old because they thought they'd have more opportunities here, and they did. That's a choice families are going to have to make with the coming regime. That still doesn't address the fact that their children who are born here are citizens whether they go back with their parents or not. Nor will it change the fact that when they grow up and have children of their own, whether in America or abroad their children will also be American citizens like my daughter is.

They are not citizens if they weren't conceived by citizens of this country as I already stated. You keep arguing points I've already answered and provided legal reference to. I keep providing you facts and you keep providing nonsense that isn't true.

You haven't provided facts. You've provided opinion. In practice it doesn't matter where your parents were born. My cousins two children are American citizens despite both their parents being born in Jamaica because they were born here while their parents were working here.
