Trump support slipping bigly in key midwestern states

Yep, tariffs are hitting a lot of folks in the wallet that voted for the Orange Bratman. Buyer remorse can be a real MF sometimes.

Agree, tariffs is a big part of it. For every steelworker he saved 10 have been lost by people who use that steel to make stuff.
But they are also figuring out that Trump doesn't care for blue collar workers and that his 1.5 trillion in tax cuts benefitted them about enough to buy a new muffler.
Even though no mufflers were bought that you know of.

Talk to Ben --- Trumpflake

Just saw The Great Gatsby again. It depicts how the rich lived leading to the great depression.

All we need to do is look back in history to see what tariffs on steel does to the car manufacturing industry.

The bush boy put tariffs on steel in 2002.

A few short years later, the car manufacturing industry collapsed and we had to bail them out. Don't get me wrong I wanted the bail out but none of it would have been necessary if the bush boy had not put those tariffs on steel.

None of what we're enduring and will endure is necessary.

What I find so disgusting is that he's using socialism to bail out farmers. The same people who voted for trump and tariffs. He clearly said he would impose those tariffs in the campaign. They knew it was going to happen. They voted for it. Now they're whining about it. Now they are forcing the rest of America to pay for their very bad choice and not accepting the consequences of their actions.

They voted for it. They cheered trump on in the campaign when he talked about it.

Let them live with it. The last thing I would do is use socialism to bail their butts out. Especially when the same people scream they hate socialism.
/——/ Trump wins, libtards lose again Trump, EU agree to work on lowering tariffs, averting a potential trade war
Sure, no doubt there will be hugely covfefe gains in reducing tariffs to zero with the EU just like the hugely covfefe gains in the renegotiated NAFTA treaty.

This one's gonna leave a mark :)

President Donald Trump's poll numbers are sagging in three key Midwestern states, with only around one-third of voters surveyed saying he deserves to be reelected in 2020, according to new NBC News/Marist polls out Wednesday.

The poll indicated that 28% of registered voters in Michigan, a state Trump flipped in the 2016 presidential election, say he deserves a second term. Some 62% of voters polled believe it's time to replace Trump, the poll found.

In Minnesota, a state Trump lost to Hillary Clinton by fewer than two percentage points in 2016, roughly 30% of voters surveyed say Trump deserves another go-around in the Oval Office, while 60% said he doesn't.

Thirty-one percent of voters in Wisconsin are in favor of a second term for Trump, while 63% say they are not, the NBC/Marist polls show. Trump flipped Wisconsin in 2016 with around 23,000 votes.

Poll shows Trump's reelection support in key Midwestern states is slipping

Well done. I wholeheartedly recommend you base all your hopes for the ouster of our President on poll numbers. Go ahead. Please continue to do so. I am gonna go watch some videos of last minute polls assuring a 2016 HRC victory.

Don't forget those massive covfefe gains from abandoning Iran deal/ TPP, Paris agreement, NoKo Summit and after trashing our allies at NATO, the terrific BIGLY covfefe gains by letting Putin pick his pocket.

So much winning - So little time :rolleyes-41:

SO, you can back that up by showing manufacturing employment dropping?

Hey Dr. Glove,

Save us your tiresome lip service and whimsical prognostications and just send us the proof when his support ACTUALLY REALLY SLIPS for sure in those states and you have pictures of the marks left. Meantime, I suggest you just sit still and hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

/——/ Well after digging through your link and the NBC News/Marist poll article not one word about the demographics of the poll. What are they hiding? Random poll of 300 adults? Over sampling of democrats? What are they hiding?

They asked all of Jake USMB Sock accounts

What I'm still trying to figure out is this: Congress holds the purse strings. How in the HELL does Donnnie Dumpster get away with 22 billion in welfare payments to soybean farmers without going through Congress - Where it NEVER would have passed.

Trump is amazing - Walks in .. fucks everything to hell, spends 22 billion to save a few voters and takes credit for "fixing" yet another mess that he alone created.

/----/ The only thing Trump has fu*ked up is dems chances for retaking Congress in November.

Untrue but interesting theory Cellie -
And yet you didn't answer my question: How does a POTUS spend 22 billion without going through congress?

/----/ This is how: The Washington Post reported that this stabilization package will use a Depression-era program that allows the government to borrow up to $30 billion from the Treasury without congressional approval.

Yes, I have done a little Googling. He's using funds from a pot not intended to cover for his own damn FUBARs ...

And Republicans concur:

“This is becoming more and more like a Soviet type of economy here. Commissars deciding who should be granted waivers. Commissars in the administration trying to figure out how they’re going to sprinkle around benefits.” -Ron Johnson

“Trump's trade policies go against free market principles. You have a terrible policy that sends farmers to the poorhouse, and then you put them on welfare, and we borrow the money from other countries. It’s hard to believe there isn’t an outright revolt right now in Congress over what is happening.” -Bob Corker

This trade war is cutting the legs out from under farmers and the White House’s ‘plan’ is to spend $12 billion on gold crutches. . . .America’s farmers don’t want to be paid to lose — they want to win by feeding the world. This administration’s tariffs and bailouts aren’t going to make America great again, they’re just going to make it 1929 again.” -Ben Sasse

These new tariffs are threatening $977 million in state exports. Those are real people — Iowans — who are waiting for terms to be negotiated, for new deals to be finalized.” -Joni Ernst

Face it Cellie - Your Orange POTUS is a national and INTERNATIONAL embarrassment (even to Republicans) ... and an abject FAILURE
