Another tweet below does a great job of explaining the ramifications of this going forward and how what has happened in the past will now stop happening.

Here's exactly what it means in plain English:
  • If you never presented at a port of entry (i.e., you crossed illegally between ports)
  • And ICE locates you inside the country
→ You can and must be detained without bail pending removal proceedings.

No more "catch and release." No more walking free while your case drags on for months or years.

Before this ruling:
  • Illegal alien caught → placed in removal proceedings
  • Entitled to bond/redetermination hearing
  • Could post bail (or get released on own recognizance)
  • Stay out on the streets, work under the table, disappear into sanctuary cities, rack up more crimes, string things along with endless appeals

After this ruling:
  • Caught after illegal entry? → Immediate mandatory detention
  • No bail. No release.
  • You're in ICE custody from the moment they grab you.
  • No quick trip home to grab clothes, no "see you later" to your crew.
  • You either:
1. Accept expedited removal / voluntary departure (fast deportation)
2. Or sit in detention for the duration while your lawyer files doomed motions and you lose anyway

Knock-on effects — enormous and cascading:
- Massive incentive to self-deport before ICE knocks. Why risk hiding when the second you're found it's permanent detention → deportation?
Easier choice: pack up, take the free flight + $2,500 relocation cash (if offered), and go home with some dignity.

- Frivolous court fights collapse. Why burn money and time on appeals you're almost guaranteed to lose when you're already locked up?
→ Many more will fold early → relieves crushing immigration court backlogs
- Deterrence skyrockets. Word spreads fast in migrant communities: "If they catch you inside, it's over. No second chances."
Fewer will even try the illegal crossing knowing the old "catch-release" loophole is dead.

This is what secure borders with teeth looks like. No more treating illegal entry like a traffic ticket.

Huge congratulations to Pam Bondi, Todd Blanche, and the entire DOJ team that fought for and won this. Milestone victory.
America First delivering real results — again.

More and more winning.

Good. Now she needs to start perp walking some high-level elected people like Walz, Frey, Omar, and any State AG who fails to do their duty and deport illegal aliens as well as prosecute fraud, regardless of elected status.

No one is above the law.

Thread up. :)
