This move is a huge escalation and is very belligerent

Its not an escalation its reminder that these two subs can wipe out the entire Russian population and they have no defense against them. This sends a message to Putin. Putin is a psychopath and will only respond to a threat. The Soviets have always operated this way. Its move to force Putin to end the war. IN addition to the sanctions its the right move.

Fact of the matter is that we already had or should have had subs strategically placed around Russia, and I'm sure Russia has subs out there right now too off our waters.

Russia will not like having 2 extra Trident subs parked off their coast, but they certainly wont commit suicide by launching nukes over it.

What will happen is, the guy who made those remarks will be punished by Russia, and you wont see other russians make statements like that again any time soon. Trump wins, again.
