Well, to be fair, he didn't say he wanted to wipe out anything just that this is likely to be the result unless Iran recapitulates and the IRGC ain't recapitulating to Allah much less him.
But yeah, I've seen worrisome signs in Trump for months, which I'd categorize as delusions of grandeur.
But hey, I did not vote for all this war, but then, it is a good thing Trump has been cutting off important chinese ligatures all around the globe especially in our own hemisphere.
I get why we must decapitate this Iran Regime, what I'm not satisfied with is the lack of any clear statement for why it had to be NOW. Why not last summer when we were already busy taking out their nuclear site?
I'll tell you what I did vote for:
- Putting America First (been getting a whole lot of that).
- Cleaning up our borders and immigration (have gotten a lot of that, but not nearly enough).
- Holding a lot of criminals accountable so we don't have further repeats of 2016 and 2020 (Have gotten ZERO of that).
- A return to affordable living (we were finally just starting to see some of that until this war started).
- A cleanup of our elections and other good things enacted through a GOP congress (The GOP haven't done shit).
So while I'm concerned that Trump is spinning off into some sort of messianic cloud of demigodhood, his DOGE program has vanished, and most everything else has vanished to be supplanted by this war instead.
And if Trump doesn't somehow pull this war out of his ass now and win it both with positive results for America and the region, and if the GOP don't get government funded and the SAVE act passed (at least), I believe the GOP are once again ineptly steering themselves out of the hands of victory into the maw of defeat yet again with everything handed them and are going to rain down with a greater implosive thud this Fall than some of these missiles striking their Iranian targets.
