And the Turks claim they will end their “strategic alliance” with the US.

So what? The Kurdish Peshmerga are the only ones who’ve been effective fighters against the Daesh, as they’re called in the Middle East. And they’re doing it with second-hand, often obsolete weapons.

One top U.S. military leader said that supplying the YPG before the battle to take Raqqa does not commit the United States to do so after the city is taken and that arms could be rationed to get the job done.

We would be transparent with them,” Gen. Joseph L. Votel, commander of the United States Central Command, said of the Turks during a visit to Syria in February. “We could meter things like ammunition.”

So Trump is arming 'good' Muslims.

Of course Turkey considers them terrorists.

Frankly I am all for arming the Kurds- hell I am all for Kurds having their own country. But I find it interesting that after years of complaining that Obama was 'arming terrorists' in Syria- Trump is now arming 'terrorists' in Syria.

I don't blame Turkey for being mad.

The Kurdish Peshmerga fighters are an extension of the PKK terrorist group who have killed many innocent Turkish citizens. .....

In response to Turkish efforts to wipe out Kurds in Turkey and Iraq.

Nope, the Kurds are not the only ones who are effective against ISIS. In fact, their little frontiers are nothing compared to the battles the Syrian Arab Army fights.

The intention of the US is very likely not the defeat of ISIS but to create an opponent of the Syrian government, which the Kurds aren´t. The Kurds must be well aware of the fact, that the US is currently arming and training the "rebels" who recently vowed to dislodge the Kurds from eastern Syria.

Why repeat historical mistakes, on a for-profit basis and claim ignorance or incompetence? shouldn't, strict liability apply if there is a profit motive.
