In a Republic, actually
ā€˜One thing I said before the election is that his mass deportation effort is not going to be the 11 million (or however many millions that Republicans pull out of their asses) that are undocumented people that are hard to track and catch, the so-called unvetted "gotaways" that Republicans loved to ***** about during the Obama years. It's going to be made up of people who are the easiest to find, the people that aren't hiding, the people that reported themselves and went through whatever process there was to gain legal authorization to be in the US. It's going to be the mostly documented people who are caught and deported.

If they can't boost their deportation numbers with undocumented people, they will create new undocumented people with those who are the easiest to find. They want to boost deportation numbers as much they possibly can. Reading this article brought me back to that thought I had.

You might not have noticed it, but last week the number of undocumented immigrants in the United States surged by 350,000.

Don’t worry, an army of gangbangers and other criminals didn’t charge the border. Rather, President Donald Trump simply decided to turn 350,000 legal immigrants into illegal ones.

Trump has been fearmongering about an ā€œinvasionā€ of unauthorized immigrants for years. Since retaking the White House, he has attempted to manifest those fever dreams into reality through a ā€œde-documentationā€ campaign. This is not an immigration agenda that targets criminals; it’s one that criminalizes immigrants who have followed the law, by stripping them of their existing visas and work permits.’

These are immigrants lawfully in the country – neither undocumented nor ā€˜illegal’ – immigrants who are not criminals, immigrants of color.

Trump’s immigration agenda is motivated by racism, bigotry, and hate.

The story is a flat-out lie. Only illegals are being deported.
