Why do you pick on African American women? Maybe they favor progressive policies and respect and dignity for African-American women and women of every color. How about all of the white men who always vote right-winger? This is incredible, too. Are these guys independent? You look at the crowds at the festivals the orange whore throws. Who are the faces there?
Maybe a year ago, I saw an interview with a guy on the Eastern Shore who owns a crab business, which was at a standstill because he couldn't find enough workers, yet he said that he would continue to kiss the orange whore's hindquarters. The same with these poor, suffering farmers who are losing thousands due to the orange whore's trade war with China, but say that they will continue to vote for him. They are obviously ignorant and easily manipulated.
No one is picking on African American women. They would not allow it. For being so feisty, loud, argumentative and more they certainly do not live what they eschew. If there are other reasons for it, it certainly was not me. Large government is intertwined with out lives today. This spouting you do is the direct result of it. Those businessmen and farmers are not the same as irresponsible teenqagers having child after chuld after child while the sperm donor is never identified. By law that is rape. And if both teenagers are underage does that mean double rape? We never even see a wisp of anyone arrested for this/ Do you notice? I only tell you that the loudest people I ever hear are African American women. Perhaps the system you hate needs to be torn down. Well you got the ballz to get violent but you apply it wrong. Those blue bloods use you. They spout so nice but hate your guts. They just about put up with the people you spout are privileged. I say you are And the many programs available to stop or slow down poverty are there for the taking. Only the money ones are used at the highest percentage. Again, voting 98%...where has that gotten them?
Why do whites like you think you can speak as an expert on blacks? You republicans are worse than the democrats. You are against everything that has allowed us to progress. If you check births instead of clinging to false racist stereotypes, you discover that whites have more out of wedlock births than we have total births. And the majority of public assistance goes to whites. So stick with figuring out why whites are using opioids or why majority white states are poorer, take more federal government tax dollars than they produce and drop the racist opinion you have about black women.
The green line is black, non-hispanic. 70% of babies born out of wedlock. The blue line is white. Just over 30% of babies born out of wedlock. So yeah, if you add up TOTAL numbers, it's all skewed because blacks are a minority. But if you look at percentages, you have a problem in family life.
Trends in Unmarried Childbearing Point to a Coming Apart
Actually that's untrue since half of ALL marriages end in divorce. And out of wedlock births is a term used by whites like you that misses a few realities of MODERN family life.
Black Dads Are Doing Best of All
One of the most persistent statistical bludgeons of people who want to blame black people for any injustice or inequity they encounter is this: According to data from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (C.D.C.), in 2013 in nearly 72 percent of births to non-Hispanic black women, the mothers were unmarried.
It has always seemed to me that embedded in the “If only black men would marry the women they have babies with…” rhetoric was a more insidious suggestion: that there is something fundamental, and intrinsic about black men that is flawed, that black fathers are pathologically prone to desertion of their offspring and therefore largely responsible for black community “dysfunction.”
There is an astounding amount of mythology loaded into this stereotype, one that echoes a history of efforts to rob black masculinity of honor and fidelity.
Josh Levs points this out in his new book, “
All In,” in a chapter titled “How Black Dads Are Doing Best of All (But There’s Still a Crisis).” One fact that Levs quickly establishes is that most black fathers in America live with their children: “There are about 2.5 million black fathers living with their children and about 1.7 million living apart from them.”
The Washington Post reported last year:
“The share of unmarried couples who opted to have ‘shotgun cohabitations’ — moving in together after a pregnancy — surpassed ‘shotgun marriages’ for the first time during the last decade, according to a forthcoming paper from the National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
Mass incarceration has disproportionately ensnared young black men, sucking hundreds of thousands of marriage-age men out of the community.
Another thing to consider is something that The Atlantic’s
Ta-Nehisi Coates pointed out in 2013: “The drop in the birthrate for unmarried black women is mirrored by an even steeper drop among married black women. Indeed, whereas at one point married black women were having more kids than married white women, they are now having less.” This means that births to unmarried black women are disproportionately represented in the statistics.
Now to the mythology of the black male dereliction as dads: While it is true that black parents are less likely to marry before a child is born, it is not true that black fathers suffer a pathology of neglect. In fact, a
C.D.C. report issued in December 2013 found that black fathers were the most involved with their children daily, on a number of measures, of any other group of fathers — and in many cases, that was among fathers who didn’t live with their children, as well as those who did.
Opinion | Black Dads Are Doing Best of All
I will not be debating you in the area of music. When you discuss that I will STFU. Because that's the area you study and are paid to know. You are an expert on that issue. But when it comes to this, you are not and I am the one who has studied this and is paid to know it. Your opinion is not grounded in fact or reality.
In the black community, out of wedlock births are not the problem. Economic development is and it is due to at least 243 years of racist laws and policy that created a huge gap in wealth accumulation.
