Yeah, I don't think so.

I've seen a lot of titles of blogs and videos stating that claim, and I don't think that's what's happening. The weird thing here is that what he is doing is going to damage, at least in the short term, two numbers that are near and dear to his heart: The GDP and the stock market.

A couple of things happened in that interview with Maria Bartiromo that's getting so much attention, the one in which skirted around talk of recession but still defended one if it happens:

First, he looked more relaxed than normal because he knew he was on friendly territory. And second, that made him comfortable enough to actually give an answer that is defensible: He's trying to "bring wealth back to America" by trying to re-focus as much production and distribution back here as possible. I sure as hell don't like the way he's doing this, and I sure as hell don't know if it will work, but at least he was calm enough to make sense.

Here's my theory (with absolutely no proof to back it up): He has touched on this stuff in the past, but not like this. I think someone got to him, someone he trusts, and filled in all the details and tactics for him. So while he and his oligarchs stand to really make out here, it could be argued that the actual goal is sound. The execution? Yeah, we'll see. This is a sloppy mess. But I don't have to like it.

Sometimes something needs to broken down to build it back up.

I made a post some time ago about how there will be pain but it's totally necessary to break us away from what the batshit crazy dems (and neocon RINOs) did to us.

Of course the dems will parse every pain and their media lackeys will try to compound them but I think America has done wised-up.

These gas bags in congress WANT Canada and Mexico to continue ripping us off because they are getting kickbacks, bribes and other forms of payment from these countries in exchange for allowing them to screw over America and American workers.

If you care about your country you need to watch & think about everything that is going on.

Trump is punishing all these countries who rip us off. The UAW just yesterday applauded Trump's efforts to stop the bleeding of American jobs to these countries.

TRUMP IS PUNISHING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO VOTED HIM OUT OF OFFICE IN 2020. AND HE'S LYING.

Here is the hard truth: there is no country in the world that is "ripping you off". Donald Trump LOST his last trade war with the world, when he tore up all of your trade agreements in his first term.

The trade agreements your 7 times bankrupt, fiscally incompetent, negotiated, after he bullied your trading partners, and tore up all of your trade deals, the last time he was in office, are now the trade deals Trump is tearing up. HE NEGOTIATED THESE DEALS.

Nobody is going to negotiate with this asshole. He'll just tear up these deals TOO.

Oh yeah. Your former partners and allies, are no longer doing business with Putin's new partners in the war against the Ukraine.

Canada is pulling all of their military contracts with the USA. We'll be buying our fighter jets from France. Yes, we've invested billions in that tax funded sink hole known as the F35, but you're on your own from here on in.

Look for other NATO countries to find other suppliers for our military build up.

That interview with Maria, she was asking about a recession, She didn't know, nor he.
Not sure anyone can 'predict' a recession, they can guess, is that what you wanted? A Guess?
What's that old saying, "the stock market predicted the last three recessions 10 times."

SO YOU THINK THE ECONOMY IS "TANKING"?..... give me a break... the losses we are seeing in the market is less than what the gains were when Trump was sworn in....
Everything will be okay... there are great opportunities in the market today... I suggest you stop crying and find them....

The interloper speaks.

Trump would have to be a Russian asset to want to sink the US economy deliberately...oh wait!

15th post
The UAW said you are wrong and applauded Trump's moves. Can I interest you in a made in USA tissue?
I wonder, how much did the UAW resist the outsourcing of their auto jobs overseas before they got to this point?

He didn't tank the economy in 2016... so chill.... what will you say when the economy takes off which its about to....

No, it took him until 2020, because the Obama economy was 8 years in the rebuilding, and it was strong.

Biden only had 4 years and the recovery didn't have strong roots into the economy. Starting a trade war with your allies has to be the dumbest thing ever.

This was the US Customs and Immigration hall at Pearson International Airport, last Friday as Canadians left for Spring Break. Usually, this place is packed on the Friday of Spring Break. There has been a 40% cancellation rate for Canadians booking travel to the US since Trump Announced his tariffs.

On Friday, Doug Ford announced a 25% surcharge on all electrical power sold to the USA.

Wines from Chile, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand have replaced American wines on the shelves of our liquor stores, and NOBODY is buying anything coming in from the USA.
