If someone is really a liar and an untrustworthy person, then its best to know that before you trust them with something as important as running the country. President Trump loves the American people, and he always has. Is it possible to quickly move the Republican Convention to immediately BEFORE Marchin proclaims sentence?

Then he would be sentencing the official Republican nominee for the U.S. Presidency to prison, or home confinement, or whatever. Voters would rebel even more strongly!

Hopefully, it will make no different to Merchan whether Trump is an offical nominee for president or just another convicted criminal. The jury by a unanimous vote convicted Trump of 43 felonies. Merchan's duty is to render a fair sentence without regard to the defendant's political status, wealth, or position.

I seriously doubt that Merchan has any real concern how his sentencing would effect Trump lovers or haters. Like most judges his main concern is presiding over a case such that his ruling will not be overturned by a higher courts and this includes sentencing.

For Merchant to deliver a sentence that makes a mockery of the trial he presided over or a the sentence that does not take into account the shortcomings in the prosecution's case, sentencing guidelines, first time offender status of the defendant, and his age would invite higher court intervention. So what kind of sentence is Merchant likely to deliver.

On the low end, several years in jail which is suspended in lieu of a fine and possibly probation. On the high end, several years in prison followed by probation. I suspect that the sentence will be somewhere in between these two extremes.

I believe a just sentence would be 6 months house arrest following 2 years propagation. Administering house arrest would be transferred to Florida. Trump would have to wear an ankle tracking bracelet and court permission would be needed to attend the republican convention, presidential debates and rallies. The House arrest would end just before the inauguration. Administering probation would be transfer to where Trump lives in the US.

A civil war is not possible unless you can clearly define contiguous sections of the country that form the two sides and goals that would certainly be attained by a victory.. Otherwise the uprising become an insurrection. On a small scale this is what we had on Jan 6th with the attack on the Capital. A nationwide insurrection requires, leadership, coordination, and a will to destroy life as we know it today for something not clearly defined. None of this exist today.

The only illegal election interference activity proved in a court of law other than that performed by foreign nationals was that perpetuated by Trump in order hide information from the voters to secure his election in 2016. Other so called election interference that could have changed results of the election has never been proved in a court of law. Opinions and claims in the media, conspiracy theories, and accusation by politicians and their minions are not election interference. All of this is just election politics.
