Trump asked her to do the $200 million ad campaign. There is video on it when Norm was first appointed....she was at a CPAC political event and recalled her conversation with Trump to the audience, where he asked her to do the ad campaign.....

I think what got her in trouble was she didn't bid the campaign out, but just gave it to some cronies (who, frankly, didn't do a good job.)
