"when the only ground for suspicion is that the occupants appear to be of Mexican ancestry."![]()
‘Essence of racial profiling’: ICE’s L.A. rental truck raid may have violated court orders
City officials said Wednesday’s operation looks a lot like the kind of racial profiling raids the courts explicitly told ICE they could no longer conduct.www.msnbc.com
What argument are they making?
The district court upended immigration-enforcement efforts throughout the entire Central District of California—a vast area encompassing some 20 million people and an estimated 2 million illegal aliens—by categorically enjoining immigration officers from conducting investigative stops that rest solely on any combination of four factors (i.e., a suspect's apparent race or ethnicity; whether he speaks Spanish or accented English; whether he is at a location where illegal aliens are known to gather; and whether his job is prevalent among illegal aliens because of the lack of documentation required.
They are arguing against that so how is it not arguing for detaining someone based on their "apparent" or "perceived" race?
You are absolutely delusional. The whole purpose behind the brief is to give ICE free rein, to confront, and perhaps detain people, on any one of four criteria. The first, the appearance of being, not Mexican, but Hispanic. You certainly didn't read the brief. Sure, they try to whitewash the whole thing, but it just keeps jumping out."when the only ground for suspicion is that the occupants appear to be of Mexican ancestry."
When would you like to start on my toilets?
Good one, I will give you that. My BMI is 23.7. That is considered healthy although I admit, I could lose a few pounds and probably feel better. But what do you consider "well rounded"?Don't blame me that you are not well rounded....Except in your rotund physique maybe.![]()
Let's face it, most illegals aren't white English speaking heterosexuals.Trump admin wants to arrest people based on how they look and what language they are speaking. I am sure it will be fine, I mean, whats wrong with arresting people based on the color of their skin amirite?
Trump asks SCOTUS to allow profiling in California ICE raids
The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow officers to arrest suspected undocumented immigrants in Southern California because of how they look, what language they’re speaking and what kind of work they’re doing, factors that federal judges have found to be baseless and discriminatory.
Last month’s ruling by U.S. District Judge Maame Frimpong, upheld by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, “threatens to upend immigration officials’ ability to enforce the immigration laws in the Central District of California,” D. John Sauer, the Justice Department’s solicitor general, said Thursday in a filing with the Supreme Court. “This Court should end this attempted judicial usurpation of immigration-enforcement functions” and suspend the injunction while the case is argued in the lower courts, Sauer wrote.
The Central District, which includes Los Angeles County and six other counties, has nearly 20 million residents, more than any other federal court district in the nation. It became the focus of legal disputes over immigration enforcement after President Donald Trump took control of the California National Guard in June and sent thousands of its troops to the streets in Los Angeles to defend immigration agents against protesters of workplace raids.
As usual the fascist right attempts the defend the indefensible – in this case Trump’s racism, bigotry, and hate. That's how you see it. Others see it as illegals do not belong here and need to go
Watch Full Metal Jacket and learn.....It's a movie that launched 1000 right-leaning memes.....Literally!Good one, I will give you that. My BMI is 23.7. That is considered healthy although I admit, I could lose a few pounds and probably feel better. But what do you consider "well rounded"?
I mean send Kristi Noem down my way. I will call the Calderon's, put her ass in the tomato fields for a day. Damn what a Tik-Tok video that would make. She wouldn't make it to mid-morning.
Already happened to citizens. Not CEOs though. Why? He's a citizen.
raiding hotels and private homes seeking to interrogate the maid.
And notice the bar the government is trying to establish here, "beyond the I in 10 baseline. Even at three in 10, maids, housekeepers, it still doesn't meet the "probable" threshold. You have to exceed fifty percent, none of those criteria fit that, except, what I have conceded, hanging out at the Home Depot parking lot. And that is highly doubtful.

Why don't you ask his brown Secretary of State? His pacific Islander DNI? His brown Secretary of Labor? His black Secretary of HUD?No, I blame Trump for his hatred of brown people
