Trump and his allies are quietly “plotting” to “deploy the U.S. Military to quell potential unrest on Inauguration Day” if Trump wins in 2024.

The distinction between protests and riots lies in the intensity of actions, the level of violence, and the intent behind them. While protests aim to express grievances and advocate for change, riots involve destructive behavior and violence.

J6 and Charlottesville and Oakland sure sound like riots.
Portland's incendiary summer of 2020 (100 nights of riots with arson on a federal building) and the Seattle CHOP/CHAZ zone that occupied 6 blocks of the city and closed a police precinct seem to fit your narrative but are ironically missing from your description. Hmm.

Portland and Seattle have a history of protests and clashes, not surprising other large cities were able to deal with and quell the violence.

“We have communists and anarchists and we also have neo-Nazis and fascists,” said Blazak, who also chairs the Oregon Coalition Against Hate Crimes. He says the region is also home to several militia and anti-government groups.

That petri dish of extremes has made Portland a hotbed for protest. Its predominantly White population, nearly 80%, also makes it attractive to White supremacists who see the city as fertile ground for an all-White ethnostate.

“It starts with the Oregon trail, when the land that was given was to White settlers only,” Blazak said. “It was a state that would remind us of being in the deep South except it was in the Pacific Northwest.”

When far-right groups gather in Portland it brings out the city’s prolific anti-fascist movement, commonly referred to as Antifa. The ideologies of both sides were on display during a high-profile conflict last August, when the far-right group Proud Boys came to Portland and were met by a wall of counter protesters.

It's just their history. I get it. That word Insurrection was bandied around and put into the lexicon for nothing. Punishment was warranted and minor at that. Not a dog and pony show from the Prog Politicians and Entertainment/Media division of the real godless cult. Nothing more than that. The Republican side still has to many RINOS/Democratic Party shills in it. It is difficult to get traction with that. The Repulican Party is going to screw itself over if they keep pushing these people on their voters. Their voters will start to put in harsh hardliners for their own survival. Ones that will go toe to toe with Progs.

BREAKING: Washington Post drops Sunday morning bombshell, reveals that Trump and his allies are quietly “plotting” to “deploy the U.S. Military to quell potential unrest on Inauguration Day” if Trump wins in 2024.

But it gets WAY worse…

In today’s explosive new report, the Washington Post just unveiled a meticulously detailed plan being hatched behind the scenes by former President Donald Trump and his inner circle. This shocking scheme, to be put into motion if Trump secures a second term, involves leveraging the formidable powers of the federal government to target critics and adversaries.

The most chilling aspect? Discussions are underway about invoking the Insurrection Act on Inauguration Day, a move that could pave the way for the deployment of the military to quash civil demonstrations, plunging the nation into uncharted constitutional territory.

Trump's readiness to unveil a list of individuals deemed ripe for investigation or prosecution, including former officials like John Kelly and William P. Barr, adds a layer of vindictiveness to this unfolding saga. Publicly, Trump has even threatened to appoint a special prosecutor to go after President Biden and his family, despite a stark absence of tangible evidence to substantiate these claims.

However, what raises the most eyebrows and concerns is the concerted effort to dismantle well-established policies that have long separated criminal prosecutions from political considerations. These discussions have triggered widespread alarm, with critics arguing that such actions have the potential to erode the core tenets of democracy and, in some instances, draw alarming parallels to autocratic regimes.

A significant part of this secretive planning has been outsourced to a coalition of right-wing think tanks collectively referred to as "Project 2025." This consortium is hard at work crafting a comprehensive strategy, which includes the deployment of the military domestically under the provisions of the Insurrection Act, a law that has seen minimal use since its last significant revision in 1871.

The Washington Post's revelation comes in the wake of previous instances where Trump's supporters had urged him to employ the Insurrection Act during his first term. In recent public statements, Trump has expressed regret for not taking such drastic action in the past, signifying a willingness to entertain more forceful measures in the future.

This revelation provides a disturbing glimpse into Trump's unwavering determination to seek retribution against his critics, which has become an unmistakable and central theme of his campaign. It underscores the notion that a second term would serve as the ideal platform for settling scores.

Trump and his allies are mapping out plans to use the government to punish opponents if he wins in 2024

Deploy the U.S. military? Does this surprise anyone? I'm not surprised. What do you think?

Who else stopped reading at "But it gets WAY worse…"?

Well then, provide links where, on January 20th, at noon, Trump supporters attacked Biden's inauguration as you claimed.
I didn’t. I said in 2017 demafacist brownshirts attacked trump.

And provided links

I literally provided links to the stories. Plus I am old enough to remember watching it on TV. hundreds were arrested in DC
This is what you claimed:
Nope, they attacked the peaceful transition of power when the new duly elected president was being sworn in
That was January 20th at noon................nothing happened then.

Nah that’s not what I said…that’s not what the links provided that showed 100s arrested for rioting in DC showed
Ah Ha ha............you punked yourself..................show where on J 20, 2017 , the peaceful transition of power was co-opted?

You can't, can you.

I provided links to two stories about how 100s were arrested in their attempts to do that…just because the demafacist weren’t succcessful doesn’t mean it’s any less disgraceful
