TRUMP 2.0 From nominations to its last day

The Reflecting Pool blunder is dominating the news cycle. We get it.

Trump handed a no-bid contract to a company that cleans his golf club pools, swore it would cost $1.8 million, left taxpayers with a $16 million algae bloom, and now is saying it’ll cost even more to fix the problem his pool guy created.

Yes, it’s annoying. Extremely corrupt, even.

But what the media should be talking about is how the Reflecting Pool is actually one of the cheaper things on Trump's bill to the American taxpayer. And on every single one, he promised you wouldn't pay a dime.

Let's run the tab.

  • $113 billion on an unauthorized war in Iran that Trump started without a vote from Congress and without a plan to end it. That's the Pentagon's own estimate.
  • $300 million – your share – of a $600 million vanity ballroom he's tearing apart the White House East Wing to build. He promised zero taxpayer dollars. He lied. Internal documents prove it.
  • $400 million on a luxury jet bribed to him by the government of Qatar, retrofitted at additional taxpayer expense, that he's keeping for himself when he leaves office. A gift, he called it. To himself.
  • Over $1.4 million charged to the Secret Service to stay at his own hotels. At $1,185 a night. While he played golf.
  • $46 billion for a border wall that smugglers saw through with $20 power tools.
Remember when Trump said he'd shrink the debt? He told you he'd run the government like a business. He told you you wouldn't pay a dime.

He lied. Every single time.

Trump may be pocketing the profits, but we're here to make sure this reckless spending costs him more than he gains.
