DOZENS of people have been injured after a truck rammed into a bus stop outside an Israeli army base in a suspected terror attack.

At least six were left in serious condition in Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, as Israel marked a national day of mourning for those killed in the October 7 massacre last year.

DOZENS of people have been injured after a truck rammed into a bus stop outside an Israeli army base in a suspected terror attack.

At least six were left in serious condition in Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, as Israel marked a national day of mourning for those killed in the October 7 massacre last year.

The UN and world courts have always been about politics and have never been objective. An hundred years ago the concept of the UN/League of Nations looked good on paper after WWI, but it has never played a constructive role in world affairs. The concept of the UN sounds noble and hopeful, but in practice it produces nothing of value.

I'd like to see the UN demand negotiations from both actors in the fight and pressure countries in the region to demand the release of hostages and for Hamas to lay down their weapons and accept that they have lost the war.

The 400,000 people now being attacked in North Gaza know that NOTHING WILL BE DONE TO HELP. They KNOW that nothing is going to stop the arrest of doctors, the shooting at hospitals by tanks, the blowing up of ambulances, the blowing up of water and sanitation services, the destruction of schools and shelters.

Nobody is helping them, the leading 'civilized' nations just repeat "We demand that Israel respect international law" and other meaningless platitudes. Each day multiple tens of civilians are bombed or shot, the other day we saw a ten year child victim with her lower jaw partially blown off.

The Palestinians are living through this 24/7 week in week out and NOTHING is done to stop Israel only more weapons are being sent - so when a Palestinian brother, son or father sees this daily, incessantly they will fight back any way they can and that means using trucks as weapons.

And if the UN did make such demands, would anyone pay attention? In 2006, the UNSC passed resolution 1701 which demanded Israel withdraw from southern Lebanon and Lebanon force Hezbollah to withdraw its fighters and weapons north of the Litani River. Israel withdrew but no effort was made by the UN or Lebanon or any other party to force Hezbollah to comply. Clearly, the UN is useless and there is no point in negotiating with Lebanon. The war will end when Israel destroys Hezbollah.
