Your new self is the same previous self with a few missing or altered parts. IOW, that is a silly thing to state tank.

Of course, it MIGHT get insanity rather than murder but it sure as hell is not going to ‘get away’ with it.

Legally, in states that do, it does. Biologically, psychologically, spiritually though, no, not so much.

Legally, it doesn't. You still have all the debts and obligations of the old you, all you get is a new name.
