A 13-year-old granddaughter has taken up the mile in junior high track and is doing very well.
Her mother found her girl taking off her expensive track shoes so her shoeless friend could run in her event.
My DIL told me about, and I offered to buy shoes for the girl, and I was not surprised my DIL had already done it.
