James E. Dennehy, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York field office, reportedly told staff in an email that they’re in the midst of a “battle” as the Trump administration carries out a purge of the agents who investigated the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

“Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the F.B.I. and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and F.B.I. policy,” Dennehy wrote in the email according to The New York Times, who was first to report the news Sunday.

Insubordination. You're relieved sir....You can leave your badge and gun in the box at the exit. Mr. Smith will escort you to the exit. Right now.

Those offices that were involved in investigating folks for protesting at PTA meetings, and conducting surveillance on traditional Catholics need to be cleaned out.

ordered the F.B.I., on Friday, to collect the names of bureau personnel who helped investigate the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, raising the possibility that Mr. Trump’s political appointees plan to purge career bureau officials, including rank-and-file field agents. That number could reach 6,000 — or about a sixth of the bureau’s 38,000 employees, according to the F.B.I.

So 1/6th of the FBI was working against average Americans.....That does not seem like it would be much of a loss.

Are they really going to go with the "we were only following orders" defense?

They should consider themselves fortunate that they are just being fired and not being prosecuted, really.

Anyone who was engaged in unlawful activities, or was there and didn't say anything when they were happening needs to be shown the door.

Someone may have been "ordered" to conduct the Mar a Lago Panty Raid on the 1st Lady, but they didn't have to do it and to be there and not say anything is a disgrace.

I wonder what the lib response would have been if President Trump had decided to humiliate B. Hussein O and Big Mike after they left the WH with this kind of thing?

What would have happened to the goons that were sent in?

But the difference is that Trump is a decent person.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

They trumped up charges, investigated based on political bias, and helped the DoJ to deny constitutional rights to the accused….Burn them under civil rights violations.....Justice over revenge.

It's great to finally see the toilet flushed, after all these years.

However, soon we will have the job market flooded with ex-fed employees who will make the current crop of H1-B imports seem hard working, and who will complain to HR on day 1 that their pronouns are not being respected.

Yes, Iran, China and Russia are all cheering the destruction of the most effective law enforcement agency in the first world.

When the inevitable terrorist attacks start happening, because the FBI has been decimated and is too short staffed and busy fighting the firings to do their jobs, be sure to blame Biden, DEI and "open borders" for the attacks.

How effective is the FBI nowadays, really?

They worked as hard as they could for 9 years to bring down the American people and Trumpamania but failed in a landslide in November.

Calling them "most effective" in the world seems to be a bit hyperbolic, no?

Given that NOTHING in your post is even remotely true, there is little point in trying to convince you that the FBI did NOTHING to "bring down Trump".

Everything that happened to "bring down Trump" was done by Donald Trump. Trump is the author of all of the bad things that keep happening to him. Trump has been a lifelong criminal and conman.

If you insist that Trump is "guilty" of something, that even makes the FBI more incompetent.

They couldn't prove anything in 9 freaking years of investigations, even though it was "obvious" to you.

Makes the outfit pretty useless.

Watch the media. I implore everybody watch the media. This is early for Trump but it has started all over again. Words matter. This media report uses the term purge. It seems awful. It is designed for the reader to see it as bad. What was evil was the purge of the citizens about January 6. That was actually a true purge.

Everything he said is true. Nothing you said is true. Obama started this shit storm. YES, it was not Trump, or Biden, just good old then President Obama. I have posted the proof many times and can sure do it again. Biden caused the Dossier, not Hillary. If she did it, she got Obama to do it. It was that fake story about the Russians. Thank god an investigation did clear Trump. Trump has not been a criminal. Businessman who are successful are not called criminals. He started in a normal home. I posted a photo of it once. It was a ordinary brick home that had I think a common 2 car garage. The super way Trump lives today is astronomically better than with his dad.

They should fire everyone above the rank of Special Agent. Agents and Special Agents are cops, everything above them is political.
