I didn’t say the Taliban carried out attacks directly, but terrorist organizations living, training, and preparing in Afghanistan DID carry out attacks on the United States. Al Queda in particular.

The fact that the Taliban was NOT actively rooting out Al Queda makes them as complicit in their actions as Saudi Arabia is for allowing its citizens to financially support Al Queda.
