This is really fun to watch -- yeah, I have a strange notion of fun -- but this guy searched out an older copy of the book, "DUNE" and then rebound it in a custom leather jacket. Turned out real nice too!

This is the first of a group of four or five videos.

Runtime is 31:15 for the first video. It will be up to you if you want to watch the rest.

That's cool. I love the spinning sandworm. That's a nice touch.

I've thought about doing that myself before. I get a lot of compliments on my calligraphy so I could also write the text.

Nice. You could bind a leather drawing or sketch book. Or maybe a book of your writting, but you'd have to do it before binding.

There is a template on how to fold signatures into the proper folio counts. I used to work as a journeyman printer, but the binding was in the bindery. So I never really got that deep into how the signatures are folded.

I'm experienced at leathercraft too. I've made my own jackets, pants, vests etc...

And I can make paper too.

I could make a book from scratch.
