Nearly everybody I grew up with around here is dead. lol I know how Willie Nelson feels when he sings that song about being the last man standing.

As for young people, I get along fine with them, especially girls; lots of Geezer Groupies swarming me at my regular haunts.

That is nice to hear though I suspect I annoy ( hopefully ) more than a few .
But the only point coming here is to enjoy yourself and I must admit that I am not a nice person as I love upsetting old opinionated people who are not very bright and are stuck in mental ruts andconfUSion .

Sure, but it's a shock when you first realize you are old. With me, it was a waitress I was trying hard to flirt with. Cute little giggly girl, and I thought I was making progress until she gave me the senior discount and said I reminded her of her daddy. When she told me about going to the old folks home to read to shut-ins, I finally had to admit I'm old.

I recently celebrated 75 (Born in 1949). I feel like the car whose warranty has just run out. You know how it is, everything starts breaking down. Not enough to kill you, but still irritating.

I've reached the point in life where an extended vacation would be problematic because I can't be away from my small army of doctors for more than a month or so. Since I participate in a number of sports, I can see my deterioration graphically in shorter golf drives, slower bowling ball speed, slower biking speeds, slower walking speed (can't run anymore), and various changes to my digestive system.

My latest adventure came in the form of a blurry spot in the center of my vision in my left eye. Happily, my eye doctor saw me instantly and I got an appointment with a specialist within a few days (take THAT, you fucking Canadians!). The specialist gave me two shots in my eyeball(!), which he hopes will cure the situation over the next month or so. But that's just one of a dozen "conditions" that I deal with regularly.

Happily, money is not an issue. I can't imagine what life would be life if I were old and broke.

Thanks, but she hates the fact that I used to have a lot of fun threads on here. It's not like I don't like doing them anymore but way too much at stake at the moment for me to be concerned about. She should be happy that I'm at least on existing terms with Coyote now though.


Oh and she also thinks that I'm an attention whore, but as I said before, I just got too much of a good heart to not at least wish her well and a happy birthday anyways. Not to mention the fact that kindness is contagious and I'm hoping that she'll catch it.

Oh yeah well I don't really know the point either but I love life, I just don't love what the democrats have done with it. As for Gracie, yeah I can understand why she might be grumpy sometimes with all that going on but so far she knows I'm posting in this thread and she hasn't bitten my head off yet or tried to so that's a plus.
