Just some food for thought.

TO WHOM DOES THE LAND OF ISRAEL BELONG??

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly.

A representative from Israel began:

'Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses.
When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, "What a good opportunity to have a bath!"

Moses removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.
When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished.
A Palestinian had stolen them!

The Palestinian representative at the UN jumped up furiously and shouted,
"What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren't there then."

The Israeli representative smiled and said:
"And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech."

i hope all you morons kill each other this crap

As with all things it belongs to those strong enough to hold it.

And the Jews sure do seem to have a tight grip on it just now...but this war is entering its third millineum. Who knows who will have it in another thousand years, but I'll bet they'll be fighting over it.

That big Gold Dome in Jerusalem, which the Jews have to endure, is testimony to the ebb and flow of things. Sometimes God wins; sometimes Allah.

And it looks from pictures (I wouldn't dare go there) like the sorriest, most barren pile of rocks on the planet.

Both religions have taught their adherents to kill the other. Only a religious war can last so long.

Cute but there's just one small problem. Moses wasn't born in the Holy Land, and never so much as even saw it from a distance. Do read your bible sometime...

Cute, but didn't the tapping the rock thing supposedly happen in the Sinai? Also, Israeli archaeologist Israel Finkelstein casts doubt that there ever was an exodus as described in the Bible, which would mean there was no historical Moses.

The Jews have AT LEAST as much claim to it as the Arab/Muslims.

.

So all land belongs to the people who first lived on it?

That's what is "fair"?

Holy CRAP, this is gonna be COMPLICATED.

.
Considering how many people lived there before the Jews, oh yeah...

Not to mention the REST of the planet.

I wonder who will be in charge of all the relocation!

To the 12 Tribes of Israel...the JEWS. GOD said so.

I've never heard God say so. The only place I've seen it said is in the Bible and that was written AFTER the Babylonian captivity. The whole Exodus story was written to give the returnees a sense of nationhood, but the archaeological evidence shows that it has very little to do with historical accuracy.
