I wish them luck, and hope this is more than just an empty gesture.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) designated National Guard troops on Monday to a newly formed state border force and called on them to "repel" immigrants who are expected to cross illegally into the U.S. in record numbers in the coming weeks.

The Lone Star State governor, who has been critical of President Joe Biden's decision to end the Title 42 border policy this week, said members of the "Texas Tactical Border Force," a special National Guard unit, were being loaded into Black Hawk helicopters for deployment.

As a gov. he has an obligation to protect his citizens. Not by throwng out extreme laws, platitudes or trying to score political points but by actually getting stuff done the Texas way.

You should join them. Help them prevent the evil brown people from getting in.
It's not about "evil brown people" (as you call them), with legal immigration
there is no issue. It's the illegals that is the issue. I wish you could see
the difference between the two, instead of your talking points from your masters.

The national guard troops will just be support for ICE.

If it is the state of Texas that pays for it have at it. As long as my tax dollars is not used for it that's fine with me.

If I knew a million or so other patriots would join me, I'd be heading there right now!

Does that mean you would have to get off that couch, put down those chips and shut the TV off? I just don't believe it.

Are you thinking of Biden's "paperwork" force that he's sending?
According to Abbott, his troops will be doing actual border protection.

"They will be deployed to hot spots along the border to intercept, repel, and to turn back migrants who are trying to enter Texas illegally," Abbott said at a news conference.
