We know that tremendously higher prices are coming for most of the goods we consume. This will be due to the tax that Trump will impose on the American people, in the name of tariffs.

Two immediate hits that come to mind are coffee and chocolate, but there will be many, many others. It could well be that price increases will be immediate as people feel the need to stock up on goods ahead of the major tax increases, because we also know that businesses will recognize this and start raising prices significantly well before the new taxes take effect, because they can.

Except for the fact that under Joey Biden's failed administration prices of staple goods rose by 20% or more. You fail to understand the consequences of supply chain transportation. cost of fuel to transport goods and shutting down the sources of fuel to feed that supply chain.

I told PJ the same thing. Sam's Club had 72 count Pikes Place Roast on sale, so PJ bought the hell out of it, stacking boxes up in the pantry. We could go to late summer or early fall before having to buy again. Just like at the beginning of the toilet paper shortage, I stocked cases in the attic. After Halloween, she bought multiple large bags of our assorted chocolate favorites for freezing. I have already decided, if anyone has to have a lifestyle change next year, it won't be us.
