The Pater Noster, as it is known in Roman Catholic circles is really the ideal non-sectarian prayer.

Secular groups including both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous have recited the prayer for many deades at their public meetings and it has been successful in getting sots and junkies off the bottle and/or needle.

Having school children recite the prayer in our One Nation Under God, as our pledge defines our republic would help with the drug abuse problem as well as lift the nation's moral tenor.

The architect of the anti-God campaign which sassed the Almighty in 1962, Madelyn Murray O'Hair has long since croaked Time to abort this failed policy.

FORCE PEOPLE to JOIN RELIGION!!!

Or ELSE!!!

Wow, is that the latest dose of "conservatism" from the Pro Israel Christian??

Paxton can ENCOURAGE PRAYER, that's fine, but MANDATE/FORCE, that's

authoritarian/undemocratic/communist/fascist

Who is saying that?

All I'm suggesting is a simple prayer to Almighty God that many secular groups recite as well.

I'm not suggesting that the school forcefully baptize or circumcize anyone.

What about a "moment of silence" for each to pray/not pray their choice?

must non.Christians also pray

Not only that.

But the Lord's Prayer is already said at non-sectarian events like AA, which convicted drunk drivers are already sent to by secular judges as punishment.

those venues are not government entities.

therefore not subject to what the constitution dictates.

freedom of & freedom from religion is part of the 1st amendment & a ' state ' sponsored religion is in di-rect violation of said constitution.

Go ahead and repeal the First Amendment, because doing so would be establishing Christianity as the official government religion.

Respectfully, you may kiss my ass!
