To stop such sexual assults, why can't we just gender segregate schools and colleges? In this way there will be no chance for it. Why aren't the feminists working towards this? It will also let schools specialise.

Socialist generally believe that any kind of distinction and separation between people allows people to act as if they are another society. That in itself is contradictory to how a society should be.
