Fair and balanced trade means everyone has access to the market, and the best product wins in terms of quality, price, and service.
Trump admits that Americans can't compete on an even playing field, which is why China has eclipsed us as the world's top trading partner, except for North America (and he's working on alienating Mexico and Canada).
The problem is, what he's proposing won't fix the problem. If American products are still shit, tariffs aren't going to make them better.
