I wonder why Walz would be campaigning in Kentucky? It has a democratic governor but last poll in May had Trump +20 over Biden. Seems weird. He heads to NC after to hit 4 or 5 cities then Philly on Friday which make sense.

Tim Walz to campaign in Louisville ahead of Election Day

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is coming to Kentucky this week.

A source with Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign confirmed to The Courier Journal that Walz, the governor of Minnesota, will campaign for Harris in Louisville on Wednesday.

Walz has previously campaigned in battleground states, including Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, leading up to the 2024 election.

The visit won't be the first time Kentucky has been involved in the closely watched presidential race.

Like Trump campaigning in CA.
Trump went there to fundraise. Lots of money, even republican money, in California. Louisville though? Plus its late to fundraise. Most of the spending is already planned I'd guess.

I checked and the gubernatorial elections were last year, so I assume he's not going there to help with that.

Tough to imagine that internal polling is positive, but I guess you never know.

Because Louisville has Churchill Downs and entire stables full of horses. He's getting ready to PARTY!!! :auiqs.jpg:

I read an article in which Harris people were saying that they are campaigning in states they probably can’t win in order to build future support.

It’s smart long term planning and shows confidence

Yes. Trump is working on red districts in CA to make sure Pubs win Congress. There are Republican members of Congress from Cali.

Walz is campaigning for all the Dems in Kentucky.

Because they have to at least save the popular vote.

With Harris at +0.9 in aggregate in nationwide polling, the threat is real that President Trump wins popular vote as well.

Their internal polling must be terrifying.

Because he is an idiot. But at least he is campaigning while Harris takes a few days off. Maybe he made a wrong turn at Niagara Falls.

While in PA, he held a "rally" of a few hundred people in the lobby inside a football stadium next to a restaurant. There were 70,000 empty seats outside but apparently could not full them. From there, he went out to some farm out in the middle of nowhere.

Actually, Trump campaigning in NY and CA was a stroke of genius. He is behind in fundraising and even though he knows he can't possibly win in those places, it forced the media to cover him for free - which spreads to the battleground states. And it also may shore up some House races as well.

Not even close. The question isn’t the popular vote. An asshole like Trump cant win that. However, due to the backwards EC he’s got an even shot at that.
