Senator Angus Kink asks a question that starts with "There's a rumor circulating . . . "

45 seconds in:

He asks of a nominee to an appointed position at the CIA: "There's a rumor circulating that people applying for promotions or assignments uh admission to the CIA are being asked to affirm the assertion that 'Donald Trump won the election in 2020.' Were you asked that question, and do you know of anybody else that's being asked that question?"

Joshua Simmons, the nominee, deserves a lot of credit for answering with a straight face.

Angus King didn't beat Hank Johnson's record-setting question about Guam tipping over, but I say he tied it.

"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," Johnson said. Willard paused and replied, "We don't anticipate that."

Perhaps the more pertinent answer, which I didn't hear given, would have been: "What difference would it make either way? After all, that election is long over--- people are still arguing about and have their different opinions on who really shot JFK."

Yes, good answer. Maybe add: "Biden took over the White House and it was so disastrous that your party may not recover from it for decades, so I can see why you'd want to talk about something else."
