The three men arrested for ambushing an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday have all been identified as illegal immigrants from Venezuela who were let into the country under the Biden administration, officials said Thursday, calling the attack an “attempted murder” of federal law enforcement officers.

The Department of Homeland Security said the suspects, Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, Alfredo Alejandro Ajorna and Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez-Ledzema, were all in the country illegally, and are now in ICE custody.

“What we saw last night in Minneapolis was an attempted murder of federal law enforcement. Our officer was ambushed and attacked by three individuals who beat him with snow shovels and the handles of brooms. Fearing for his life, the officer fired a defensive shot,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

“Mayor Frey and Governor Walz have to get their city under control. They are encouraging impeding and assault against our law enforcement which is a federal crime, a felony. This is putting the people of Minnesota in harm’s way.”

I wish them well, problem is, they are looking in the wrong place. They are making their problems our problem instead of trying to make it happen where it would really count for something--- back at home.

• Woman was charged with trying to run over agents and they shot her 5 times. Charges were dismissed when video evidence showed she was rammed by ICE agents and illegally shot by agents.

• There are dozens of cases pending because ICE lied or illegally executed its job.
  • George Retes, an Iraq War veteran and U.S. citizen, claims ICE agents broke his car window, wrongfully detained him at a roadblock, and held him for three days without access to an attorney. He has also filed a tort claim for damages.
  • The family of Jaime Alanís, a 56-year-old farmworker, filed claims after he died from head and neck injuries sustained during an ICE raid at a California cannabis greenhouse. His widow and daughter are each seeking $47 million in damages.
  • A 79-year-old car wash owner in Van Nuys, California, who is also a U.S. citizen. Surveillance footage shows ICE agents tackling Shouhed inside his business and again outside, despite his attempts to present his employees’ work authorization paperwork. Their account of the incident did not match video.
