For those who are interested, there is a lot of information out there about how wretched living conditions are now in Cuba. With the cut-off of Venezuelan oil and Trump's additional measures to put pressure on the Regime, the pressure on ordinary people is immense - and there is nothing they can do about it.

Imagine that you are a kind-hearted American Christian and you want to do something to help, at least on a micro basis. I would want to work through a trusted institution. In my case, the Roman Catholic Church, to the extent that it exists in Cuba, or another Christian organization. How would you get in touch with such an organization? How could you ensure that any money you send actually gets to the targeted family or persons?

Would you run into any restrictions on "remittances" by families in the States to their left-behind relatives?

I would do it, if I thought it was feasible.

How Can I Help Cuba? Three Ways to Support the Cuban People

Why would anybody send a dime to one of the most corrupt countries in the Western hemisphere? It will go right in some Communist apparatchik's pocket.

I have a better idea: **** a Cuban Family. There is absolutely nothing for this country to gain by helping Cubans.

Time and again, good-hearted people want to help others, and 99% of the time, these people end up only biting the hand that fed them.

If you want to change my mind, let me know when ANYONE ever helps America.

We are now 40 TRILLION $$$ in debt from "helping" people. They got helped, they grew dependent on our help, and we got the bill for it all. And their hand is STILL out looking for more help.

My suggestion has nothing to do with the national debt. It would be person-to-person.

I'll consider helping a family out in exchange for 40 boxes of Havana Bolivar cigars in #40 torpedo size.

Meanwhile, I will be waiting for anyone in any of the other 192 countries to come help me.

30 of those countries even have a higher standard of living.

Maybe some Qatar sheik can adopt me.

I look good in a towel.

why not bring them to your house? got the extra room? I could use some help around here anyways!

It ain't worth it. I could use a good Cuban yardsman, lawn-care, weeds, shrubs and trees, etc., but I don't need ICE possibly coming to the neighborhood when I find out these people don't have all their papers in order.

I'd definitely go with the Roman Catholic Church route.... or another Christian charity but the Catholic church is their religion and would have the greatest accessibility to those suffering and in need.

Don't pay any mind to the 'waxed over cold' fake Christians on this thread trying to discourage you from following Christ's teachings ....and what's been put in your heart to do....
