I completely get it. I used to love meat so much that I distinctly remember saying “I could never be vegetarian or vegan.” The funny thing is, pretty much every vegan says that exact same thing. And most vegans (at least the ones who do it for the animals) later say it was the best decision they ever made.
Not eating meat is the stupidest movement the world has ever seen.
It's purely based on emotion.
No, it absolutely is not. You are so wrong. Animal agriculture is horrible for the environment and is probably the biggest thing killing the planet. Here’s an article for you to read:
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/may/31/avoiding-meat-and-dairy-is-single-biggest-way-to-reduce-your-impactThis is not my -on-earth
Then you have the health aspect… cancer and heart disease are epidemics. It’s how people eat! This is not my opinion, there are tons of studies to back up the link between animal products and problems like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. If you have Netflix, watch Forks Over Knives. Also watch the documentary What the Health?
You’ve got it backwards. There are numerous good, logical, compelling reasons to go to a plant-based diet. And NO valid reasons to eat meat. People eat meat because of tradition/ habit/ tastebuds. That’s pretty much it. So what is based on emotion is continuing to do something that is detrimental in numerous ways, just because you like the taste.
So what do you eat alot of chocolate or crackers ..?
.
My battery died so that’s why it took me so long to reply.
Ha...chocolate or crackers? I love chocolate, but I eat lots of good things. For breakfast I usually cook real oatmeal on the stove, and eat it with fresh fruit like strawberries and a little almond milk on top. For lunch, it depends on what I have… usually it’s something small because dinner is my big meal of the day. So sometimes for lunch I’ll make a snack like hummus or guacamole with chips. Or a smoothie.
For dinner, I’m always trying out new things. A few days ago I made a veggie pot pie that tasted exactly like chicken pot pie, but without the dead animal. Sometimes I make chili beans over rice, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli with garlic and a little olive oil drizzled on top, delicious homemade soups, pasta like vegan Alfredo or other pasta dishes, stirfried veggies with an Asian style sauce over rice or quinoa, I could go on and on.
