Why Critical Thinking Is Disappearing – The Rise of Collective Stupidity

In a world overflowing with opinions, algorithms, and noise — why is clear thinking vanishing? This video uncovers the uncomfortable truth behind the disappearance of critical thinking and the rise of what philosophers now call collective stupidity — a condition where we stop questioning, start conforming, and lose our capacity for truth without even realizing it.

I am guilty of this as many of you are as well.

People are too stressed, focused on little algos that let them watch 15 second clips before their attention span expires. No one is calm, plenty of high blood pressure, too many overweight, brain activity is strained.

Listen to someone speaking from the 1960s or 70s. People weren't showmen, they were cerebral and cared for one another, understood the greater impact and meddling of media, monopolies and were weary of massive corporations. They debated in scholastic locales instead of Groupthink.

People need to return to calm and warm interactions. Difficult in our high speed internet world and A.I, assembly line ads.

I've seen this video before.

I'm in the camp that believes the effect is by design. You can't have slaves if they all question the commands you give them. Many people have woken up to this and are pushing back. To some extent, the MAGA movement is part of the pushback.

Why
Because it's working

I am sure that the complete opposite is true .

How else do you explain the collapse of the MSM and now the onslaught against so called Big Pharma ?
Etc Etc

The Sheeple are slowly beginning to awake and a few even realise that there literally is a Deep State and that it has very clear plans and targets -----which in simple terms means "We" are at War .
For the future of ourselves as a Species .

The awakening is like from a sleep with one eye slightly cracked open. A war, absolutely and Big Pharma, the Deep State, the Mockingbird Media know that and are preparing there next assault. Many will fall back to sleep.... it's far easier. They have jobs and families to support. That will take priority and going with the flow will be easier.

I am not sure the disappearance of critical thinking is that much of a thing, meaning that most people have never been critical thinkers in the past. We had newspapers and magazines, then radio, then TV, and then the internet, all telling us what to think.
Then as now, the daily struggles of living, working, and raising a family consumed most of our time and energy. Things have gotten so complicated these days, and BTW our educational system sucks at teaching us how to properly think and has sucked for a long time. Who knows what is really true anymore, who can you really trust? It seems to me that the basis for critical thinking is knowledge, but these days knowledge has been politicized just like most everything else.

Turn to the Alternastive Media ;.
Obviously you need to be discriminating .

But that is where the top teams reside .
All ( 95% +) of the top Critical Thinkers , Investigators and Researchers are there .

We are the World War Army for a better Tomorrow .
Filled with Brains , Courage and dedication .
Very modest as well .

By any means necessary

Posting a video is an example of disappearing critical thinking.
How so?

A picture is worth a thousand words. <= That's a truism that few would be able to refute.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what is a video worth? If you watched it, I think it should be worth thoughtful discussion. It should be your turn to be critical of what was presented. Not to throw stones at the person who re-displayed it, asking for comment.

I dispute this claim. In the past, I believe we had news reporting that had journalists who reported the facts and events. Today, it seems all we have are media hypnotists reporting opinion and click bait. In the past, it was all about journalistic integrity. Report the facts. Today it is all about how many clicks you can get. Report the bias to get an emotion.

Then as now, the daily struggles of living, working, and raising a family consumed most of our time and energy. Things have gotten so complicated these days, and BTW our educational system sucks at teaching us how to properly think and has sucked for a long time.

Again, I disagree. In prior years (30 to 50 years ago) things were much simpler. There were good times to be had. For example, the condo association where I live had two tennis courts that were well used (70's and 80's). Today, everybody is so stressed out those tennis courts have fallen to ruin.

I will agree that things are very, very much worse today. Economics is one of the driving problems. I blame the increasingly socialist economy where half my earnings go to support a government infrastructure that does almost nothing but make promises they can not keep. The administrators of those government programs are the only ones who live well off anymore.

Who knows what is really true anymore, who can you really trust? It seems to me that the basis for critical thinking is knowledge, but these days knowledge has been politicized just like most everything else.

There is much doubt about what the truth is, I agree. However, we can begin to understand the difference between what is factual and what is fictional by using our own senses, analytical abilities, and experiences.

The greater the speed of change, the less things change. With the horrendous pace of information in the US (and elsewhere), people seem to have become overwhelmed and we only hear and see regurgitations of a few preferred "soundbites" in places such as these threads. Any time spent in trying to think more deeply about anything is obliterated by the world around one passing on to other issues. By the time you might have anything individual to say, so much has already been said that no one else can recognize a thoughtful contribution.
