Essayli Ruled Ineligible

In what is now the third such ruling, a federal judge disqualified Bill Essayli as acting U.S. attorney in Los Angeles, ruling that his appointment was a Trump administration workaround that violated federal law.

Essayli has been ineligible for the post since the end of July, concluded U.S. District Judge J. Michael Seabright of Hawaii, who was brought in to the hear the challenge because local district judges have the power under one statutory scheme to appointment acting U.S. attorneys.

The decision follows similar rulings against Alina Habba in New Jersey and Sigal Chattah in Nevada that have thwarted a Trump White House effort to install loyalists and avoid or at least delay the toils of Senate confirmation.

The latest ruling has major implications for the corrupt political prosecutions of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, who are both challenging on similar grounds the appointment of Lindsey Halligan as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

"his appointment was a Trump administration workaround that violated federal law"..........again. That is, another violation of federal law. These days, that hardly raises an eyebrow since it has become the norm.

Pause..................................................................................................................the POTUS violating federal law is the norm.

Consider...........................................................................................................

Thanks.

Trump seeks out the unqualified and incompetent to do his bidding in violation of the law.

Was Kammie qualified.......we know she loved criminals and worked at releasing or not prosecuting as many as possible. this was emulated resulting in violent criminals facing little punishment

The worst judge of quality that I've ever seen. Not even close. Especially on lawyers.

He must put them through some bizarre loyalty/suckup litmus test before they even qualify to be considered.

"Thank you sir, may I have another!"

You don’t think the constitution matters? US attorneys need to be approved by the Senate.
Not sure what you are talking about. I said liberal judges ignore the Constitution a lot overruling Trump, only to have those rulings overturned in the end by the Constitution.

tell that to senate democrats refusing to do their jobs and obstructing.
I wasn't aware that Trump needed Senate Dems for anything relating to his appointments.

I also can't confirm that Bill Essayli was even nominated or waiting Senate confirmation.

The constitution says US attorneys need to be confirmed by the Senate.

Bill Essayli wasn't.

Tell me how this judge is ignoring the constitution.

It takes two parties to negotiate. Repubs refuse. Johnson won't even bring the House back in session.

the House has nothing to do with appointing Prosecutors.
Never said they did.

Court disqualifies Trump-appointed US attorney in Nevada from overseeing multiple criminal cases

15th post
then your last post was hogwash the House has nothing to do with senators refusing to seat prosecutors as appointed By the President.

Gosh, how did you get so confused?

There are way too many of these District Court judges willing to sully the office with political rulings like this. What a disappointing thing it is to see our federal judiciary devolve into tribalism as the result of appointing these sub-par people to the bench.
