As I said before, there are two distinct types of ICE recruits, experienced law enforcement officers, and raw recruits with no formal training. You need to distinguish between the two before whining about cutting training courses. ICE said that experienced law enforcement officers only need the ICE specific training.
Making note of the whistleblower's testimony only sounds like whining to those who don't want to learn about it. There is no excuse for putting officers in the field without the appropriate training. The documents — which appear to be images of the syllabus for the agency’s basic immigration enforcement training program — suggest that more than a dozen practical exams have been eliminated for enforcement removal operations officers, including exams in “judgment pistol shooting” and “criminal encounters.”
The agency also appears to have cut courses in “use of force simulation training” and legal trainings on “criminal vs. removal proceedings,” among other topics, from the training curriculum, the documents indicate. And they suggest that, contrary to acting ICE Director Todd Lyons’ testimony to Congress earlier this month, new ICE officers receive 250 fewer hours of training compared to prior recruits.

I never supported him in the first place, I agree with some of his policies because I am a fiscal conservative but I find him to be rather crass, I disagree with his spending, I disagree with his approach to issues. I like tariffs, but he needs to be more uniformed and consistent. I wouldn’t support Trump, Harris or any Democrat or Republican that isn’t for cutting debt, that to me is the biggest issue, we need to raise taxes on everyone and cut spending in every government program. What frustrates me is DOGE went in and cut spending, found waste, we had billions in tariffs and yet debt increased. Democrats aren’t serious about the debt either, so why support to wasteful parties.
