The story of Noah is one where God contemplated destroying all evil from time to time. However, He came to the conclusion that Man's had to be responsible for the consequences of Free Will. He was not going to periodically wipe out all evil whenever it was rampant.

The real lesson in the story was the promise by God to Noah that it was not going to happen again.

There may have been local floods but there was never a world wide flood survived by one human family and two of every species on earth. It did not happen.

Yeah.......may have been is a real scientific term. Yet.....science proves that even the highest points on earth were at one time UNDERWATER.....more evidence than your "MAY HAVE BEEN" for evidence of a global event.

Neither history nor archaelogy support OT as science or history.

The OT like the Koran is full of exaggerations. Jerusalem was a tiny hilltop fortress on the caravan route. At the time of David it was less than 10 acres and 800 people.

Joshua didn't destroy the Canaanite villages. The weren't destroyed or even interrupted. Solomon didn't have a grand empire. His famous mines belonged to Egypt and then the Edomites.

The writings in 5 languages found at Ras Shamra are much older than the Hebrews. .. so are the clay tablet found at Dilmun and Sumer.

The Akkadians migrated from the Arabian Peninsula before 3,000 BC so they too predate Abraham.
