I purchased a DVD set and watched it on the $20 DVD player when I arrived home. I then noticed that the picture kept freezing so bad I had to stop watching the DVD

I then remembered I have a DVD player on my laptop and it was no freezing at all with nice quality and was just wondering why? I mean if $20 DVD players are that bad why the fuck are they for sale?
