This is Us (Netflix) Series

Not what my normal TV watching thing is, Bonzi wanted to see it so we started watching the series.
And now we finished it. It is one of the better series done in some time.
Season 1-2 are excellent.
Seasons 3-5 are weaker. Some good episodes, and some fluff to ho-hum through. Even some woke shit tossed in. But it is worth it to get to:
Season 6, last season - is 5 stars. It begins slow, but the last half of the season is top shelf tv.

There are really a couple woke instances, a daughter comes out - which is not woke, the woke part is how everyone walks on thin ice around her to avoid her constantly getting outraged. But that only last for a few episodes.
I am pretty well known to have a low tolerance for woke messaging in films/tv - and I would not say this show is woke.

Nah, I know woke when I see it....Hard pass.

Now if you want to see a good "black movie" I would suggest The Forge.



Great movie and though I'm agnostic I can still appreciate a good message.
