He always been about speed and guitar pyrotechnics. I saw an interview with him where he said, "people tell me to slow down and feel it sometimes, that less is more. No! Less is not more! MORE is more!"

Yeah, no thanks. He's trying on "Blue Jean Blues", but feeling it isn't his thing. Bombast & Blues aren't a very tasty mix. He's great in his niche and when he plays with orchestras, though. Fast as hell, amazing.
