this is cool, just shows how huge alaska is

And what should I get from these maps? That Alaska is about a half of the 'mainland' US? Not sure why you are whining here. I already posted a map that suits better, so it is not ideal too. Do you use a magnifying glass in your everyday life?

Look moron, don't makes excuses. Your map shows Alaska hardly any bigger than Texas. So it is as wrong as the OP's and mine. Thing is, the way I made mine should have been close, it had nothing to do with engineering, or STEM programs, fool, it was a failing of the map program, and I really only made it because I got sick of looking at election maps that always show Alaska grossly undersized as an afterthought hardly any bigger than Oklahoma.

The one I redid in post 17 gets it pretty close, but Alaska is probably still a little too big, FWIM, but a lot better than any of these others!

That map is not intended in any way to be an accurate representation of the size of the contiguous 48 vs Alaska/Hawaii.

They obviously just shrunk Alaska and enlarged Hawaii for the sake of making the map easier to read.

And your map from post 17 isn’t close at all.

What excuses I make, freak? I already posted a map that depicts more reliable size comparisons than any one posted here. Though, it isn't ideal, and I wrote about that also.

About your 'flat projections'. They are also widely used on various maps, and that is obviously for anyone who attended geography lessons in school and took an atlas in their hands. But, they not only do not depict the correct sizes, they give the biggest 'error' in depicting geographical objects, especially those ones located in high latitudes. And that is way Alaska has the size of a half mainland US, or say Greenland has the size similar to Africa. And that should be known by any schoolboy, if his geography lessons weren't a pure crap. So, your maps can't be 'the most correct' by default.

Except of admitting this simple fact, you began turning your ass in various directions to prove your un-provable point. That's okay, it seems how the things roll in your shitty lands. No wonder you shoot yourselves in droves in shopping malls and parking lots.

The Australian state of Western Australia is twice the size of Alaska, with only a quarter of Alaska’s population

yeah it's desolate, no water, very dry pretty much all dust

I know a guy who was stationed at a navy base there on the coast in Perth most likely

It's a huge mining area, about the only thing there
