This forum does not work well with Safari browser

Just a FYI, when I'm using Safari this forum is crazy slow at times, but all other websites load fine. When I use Firefox, the forum has no wait for the page to load.

I don't know why Safari does not work well with this software, but it doesn't seem to. This comes and goes but has been ongoing for the past 2 weeks, so I thought it worth mentioning.

I use Firefox for Ubuntu and it's slow a lot of the time....on my PC. I have my One + Android phone also on my WiFi router in the home with Firefox also and it has issues loading too.

I have never really noticed an improvement since the first time someone brought this problem up back in early June.

The site probably has just gotten too big? Too many contributors, and too many people (or AI bots,) trying to browse it.

. . . though, to be honest, even times when it is not a full capacity, I notice lag times that make it difficult to enjoy the site. This of course, is causing lots and lots of double posts to show up on many threads too.

Seems like it takes forever for some things to load if the links and such work at all. Is anybody else having this problem?

I am not having the problem on any other website.

So ... the intermittent hanging of the server is due to increased traffic flow to the site this past week. We're not talking just a few people either, more like double to triple the usual amount.

My suggestion for you would be to use Safari exclusively.

It isn't your browser.
This site, like almost all Xenforo forums, lags and even fails to stay connected.
This site is nothing more than a quite large database. Every thread is it's own folder, and within that folder is text files. Every post is an added line in that text file, that many times is being changed and updated simultaneously by more than one person.
What you see is called a GUI - "Graphical User Interface" - it displays the folders as threads, and the texts within them as separate posts.
With all of this going on, likely on an outdated server, it is going to glitch. And it is going to do it often.

It's not only slow on Safari, it is also slow with Firefox. This has been ongoing for weeks now, I'm not complaining, just making others aware. There has not been any improvement over the past 6-8 weeks.
