First off, too many players get injured

Second, it looks stupid and rewards brute force over execution.

You pussy! Why don't we just make it fag football. I mean flag. LOL.

They need to end EVERY play in football. Too many people get hurt

Rugby players don't have helmets and pads and they do it.

Nothing wrong with a QB finding a gap and sneaking through it or diving over

But when you have three guys behind him pushing him….not football

I played football at a very high level in the skill positions of both guard and center, so I speak from experience.

This is indeed football at its finest, two groups of men looking to plow down the other side.

How many times did one of your fingers get smashed in between two helmets? It happened once to me I refused to play Defensive line. I was too short to be a linebacker. I would have been a great nose tackle but fuck that bullshit.

How big are you? You must be a mountain of a man.

I'm big, but not huge, weighed 275 in high school. Peaked at about 295.

Nowadays I have a lot lower number. My doctor got a metric scale and now I am a svelte 125 and feeling great.

Doesn't that already happen on every play when an offensive line is simply bigger and stronger than the opposing defensive line? I mean, a team takes advantage of every aspect where they potentially have a greater chance of success. You don't force a team with a great offensive line and a top-notch passing quarterback to run the ball when they can give their quarterback more than 5 seconds of protection on almost every play.

I have no problem with man on man fighting for dominance at the line.
I just don’t like seeing a QB with three guys behind him trying to move line.

For one thing, the play is boring to watch.
Rather than coming up with a play that will get you one yard, Philly always goes right to the Tush Push to gain a yard.

I think I might agree. I know that sounds wishy-washy but I was fine with it until I saw Chris Jones hurt on the sideline due to trying to defend the tush push. So many rules benefit the offense. Time to protect the defense. You're right. It's not rugby. Players should be required to execute a football play.

And they'll keep doing it until opposing teams figure out a way to counter it.

What are you going to ban? A QB can't run the ball at the goal line?
No. Whst needs to be banned is the act of any offensive play pushing the ball carrier forward. It’s not just the Brotherly Shove, but all instances of linemen and other players attempting to directly force their teammate forward that needs to be banned.

Drop the N in your name. LOL

That might be a rule I could live with.

Makes me think about blocking extra points and field goals. A defensive player can't run and use his teammates back to jump up high to block the kick. At least I don't believe they can do that.

That wouldn't bother me if they said you can't push your own player forward. If you do that, the ball is down where you started pushing.
