To straighten this matter lets look at the 1948 war and who gained what as a result. Firstly the arab leaders told the muslim contingent to leave for safe muslim lands until the wart was over and the Jews were wiped out. Then they could return to the lands once owned by the Jews and reap the benefits of the Jews hard work.
