There are no BANNED books in the United States. Any adult with a computer and access to the internet can read any book ever published, whether it is pornographic, diabolical, anti-government, or whatever. There are NO banned books.

Removal of questionable reading materials from CHILDREN's libraries is not "book banning." That is an inflammatory phrase, used to imply that those who want to control what children read are un-American or anti-intellectual.

Knock it off.

I certainly agree, but I still reserve the right to use that word to describe the 6 or 7 different weeks I have been prevented from posting here.

Parenthetically, this Board is the property of a private entity, and it can "Censor" content to its heart's content. It's Government that has to be careful with what it censors.
