The Truth About Trump's Press Conference

Why would Trump give a serious press conference to the MSM? Perhaps he fed them the same crap that they make up every day. The press now thinks they are the "First Estate".

He rambled and hallucinated about being on a helicopter. Orange MAGA Jesus has advanced dementia. Weird fuckers.

My avatar would suggest that poor poster Hawk is mixed up on which faces got the blow back.

Trump "took them on" at that presser in Mar-A-Lago.
And it didn't go so well for him.
It reinforced the perception that this bloke is weird, old, and grievance filled. (e.g., surving a helicopter crash with a man who wasn't there.!) ---- ???
That's not an optimistic competent leader who can lead America in its continuing greatness.

He made up stories.
He told falsehoods.
He fibbed.
He outright lied.
Or......
He is so old and weirded out that he cannot distinguish between fact and fiction.
In either case, Don Trump is not fit to lead America.

I am sad to say.
You guys always claim he lies, but when you get called out to list them, you got nothing.

Trump did some great things while in office. Credit where credit is due, please.

I don't oppose Harris because she is a black woman but because she is a liberal, and an idiot.

Do you think I should go on the terror watch list along with Tulsi Gabbard? ;)

No he didn't. He TOLD you he did great things, but mostly, he was lying. Especially when it comes to the tax cuts and the economy. He was a complete disaster and crashed your economy utterly.

Obama and Biden achieved energy independence. Energy production increased by 80% under Obama. Trump simply took credit for achieving energy independence a few months into his term.

His trade wars increased your trade deficit by 30% BEFORE the pandemic. Every trade deal Trump negotiated resulted in the other side increasing their trade surplus with the USA.

Farm bankruptcies hit record numbers three out of the 4 years Trump was in office, because of his trade war with China. Small family owned farms were the hardest hit. The people who live on the land and care for it. Large corporate holdings were more secure, but many of these corporations are based outside the USA.

Trump screwed over American farmers, for large off=shore companies buying up American farmland.

Over a million people dead and your economy crashed, makes anything else Trump did irrelevant. Trump had ONE job. To keep the American people safe and instead he let race riots run unchecked, he let a deadly virus run unchecked and kill a million people, and he crashed the US economy.

That a total clusterfuck of a presidency.

"He misremembered who was with him."

Ummm, OK, but.......

.....but his 'misremembering' had a purpose. Which made his memory a convenient thing.

He said it was Willie Brown, and that he knew him well, and on the same flight Brown conveniently dissed Trump's current rival.....but.....

....but Willie Brown wasn't on any helicopter flight with Don Trump. Ever.

That's Olympic-level "misremembering".

IMHO

Yes. Even those on that flight with him were surprised that he later still insisted it was Willy Brown.

The MSM lives on lies and distortions. I'm sure they felt right at home at that presser.
Did you watch the presser? Is there something that NPR reported him saying that he did not say. ?Was there anything in their analysis of his remarks that you can refute? I didn't think so. You're dismissed

By the way, NPR is not MSM. NPR is an independent, nonprofit media organization that was founded on a mission to create a more informed public. But I'm not surprised that you don't know that

‘Donald Trump’s public events are a challenge for anyone who writes about him. His rallies and press conferences are rich sources of material, fountains of molten weirdness that blurp up stuff that would sink the career of any other politician. By the time they’re over, all of the attendees are covered in gloppy nonsense.

And then, once everyone cleans up and shakes the debris off their phones and laptops, so much of what Trump said seems too bonkers to have come from a former president and the nominee of a major party, so journalists are left trying to piece together a story as if Trump were a normal person. This is what The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, has described as the “bias toward coherence,” and it leads to careful circumlocutions instead of stunned headlines.

[…]

Reporters might listen to Trump and then understandably be reluctant to start typing stories that must feel like spec scripts for The West Wing pieced together by a creative-writing circle:

The former president, lying about abortion laws, said women murder their own babies in the delivery room. He megalomaniacally claimed that he gets bigger crowds than anyone in history, and compared himself to Martin Luther King Jr. He descended into fantasy by telling a story about surviving a helicopter emergency that never happened with a man who wasn’t there.

Instead, The New York Times ran this headline: “Trump Tries to Wrestle Back Attention at Mar-a-Lago News Conference.” The Washington Post said: “Trump Holds Meandering News Conference, Where He Agrees to Debate Harris.” The British paper The Independent got closer with: “Trump Holds Seemingly Pointless Press Conference Filled With False Claims,” but CNN went with “Trump Attacks Harris and Walz During First News Conference Since Democratic Ticket Was Announced.”

All of these headlines are technically true, but they miss the point: The Republican nominee, the man who could return to office and regain the sole authority to use American nuclear weapons, is a serial liar and can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy.

Donald Trump is not well. He is not stable. There’s something deeply wrong with him.’

Any of those would have been important—and accurate—headlines.

Trump also committed treasonous, historic crimes: attempting to overturn a presidential election, disenfranchise millions of Americans, and disrupt the peaceful transfer of power – Trump is in fact unfit to be president.
You would not know the truth if it bit you in the face..

NPR is as liberal as it gets. I have enjoyed listening to them for years, very entertaining but nothing of substance. Same as PBS.

Trump’s press conferences are knocking them out of the park to generate this much democrat hysteria.
