I think the progressives want to replace Christianity with Gov't. They against all religion, but they don't have the balls to go after Islam. When it comes to homosexuality, and women's rights, Islam is way worse than Christianity. They put people to death for being gay, and males have the legal right under Sharia law to arbitrarily kill any female that they think dishonored the family. A man rapes a 12 year old girl, who dies? The girl does, it's her fault not his. Where are the Left's talking points about that?
