I know that this is the last thing that some folks want to hear, but Trump is not and was never fighting the deep state. As hard a pill as this may be to swallow, nobody gets to the highest office in the land without already being "in the club" in the first place. Trump has been playing a role since the start.

As Derrick Broze put it: "He is a player in this game and the attacks against him are part of building him up as a faux anti-establishment, populist hero."

I thought that he was for years. I defended, supported Trump for years and years. I was always on his side in the past, but after being burned many times, especially in the past few months - I can't do it anymore. There has to be a point to when you say that what you supported wasn't what you thought it was.

By no means am I supporting the Democrats, they are far worse. Trump has done a lot of great things, most specifically the border. However his foreign policy has been strange flip flopping everywhere that went against his consistent policy of keeping us out of foreign wars, now he is getting us more involved.

I've been thinking for the past few months that perhaps he really is just another swamp creature. Reform Era Trump was where it was for me. Trump embraced the worst aspects of the Republican Party, and made it even more bloated, and egotistical. Remember, I voted for him. I defended him for years.

There has to be a point in time where people question him, like everyone else, he must be held accountable.
