The Theology of Woke is a shabby substitute for lost religious faith. Because the Doctrines of Woke cannot be proved, non believers are punished.

Computers is smarter than I is so I always axe them questions I wants to know.

"AI Overview"

"Theology of wokeness, often viewed critically by traditional Christians, centers on social justice through an intersectional lens, emphasizing awareness of systemic oppression (racism, sexism) and demanding radical societal change, sometimes seen as replacing traditional Christian concepts like sin/grace with guilt/retribution, elevating identity politics over unity in Christ, and functioning like a secular religion with its own sacred texts (critical theory) and idols (victims/oppressed groups). While its roots are in awareness of injustice, critics argue its core tenets—rooted in cultural Marxism and postmodernism—directly conflict with Christian teachings on universal love, redemption, and impartial justice, promoting division instead of reconciliation in Christ.

Core Tenets & Influences
  • Critical Theory & Marxism: Influenced by thinkers like Marx, Foucault, and Gramsci, it analyzes power structures, viewing society through oppressor/oppressed binaries.
  • Intersectionality: Believes individuals experience overlapping systems of oppression (race, gender, class).
  • Identity Politics: Prioritizes group identity as central to understanding and solving injustice.
  • Secular Humanism: Places human experience and social solutions above divine revelation.
Key "Theological" Differences
  • Justice vs. Grace: Focuses on achieving earthly justice (equity) through dismantling systems, contrasting with the Christian focus on God's grace, forgiveness, and individual redemption through Christ.
  • Sin & Guilt: Shifts focus from individual sin (against God) to collective, inherited guilt based on group identity, requiring reparations or structural dismantling rather than repentance.
  • Unity: Creates unity within oppressed groups but fosters division between groups (e.g., guilty white males vs. other identities).
  • Authority: Rejects traditional Christian authority (Bible, church) in favor of lived experience and cultural critique, often positioning clergy as less relevant than activists/sociologists.
Christian Critiques
  • "Woke" as a new religion: Some see it as a secular faith system (a "post-Protestant neopaganism") with its own salvation narrative (achieved through social transformation).
  • Anti-Gospel: Opposes the core Christian message of reconciliation in Christ, replacing it with a gospel of perpetual struggle, guilt, and human-centered salvation.
  • Perpetuates Racism: Ironically, by emphasizing race essentialism and group guilt, it can rekindle the very racism it claims to fight, undermining MLK's colorblind ideal.
In essence, "woke theology" reinterprets spiritual concepts through a socio-political lens, replacing God's redemptive story with a narrative of power struggles, identity, and systemic oppression, leading many Christians to view it as fundamentally incompatible with historic faith."

I would agree. Woke is basically a new religion at this point

One of the fundamental tenets of "woke" philosophy (I would not say, "theology") is that it is "sinful" to be judgmental. One must not judge another person's values, stylistic or lifestyle choices, or beliefs.

One cannot judge, for example,
  • a person's self-professed beliefs, no matter how unconventional (e.g., Wicca),
  • a person's personal grooming habits*,
  • a persons declared self-perception,
  • a person's chosen gender,
  • a person's lifestyle choices (e.g., having children on the public dole).
There is a HUGE exception to this, obviously. Traditional beliefs, styles, and choices are "fair game," which is to say they can be attacked without mercy for any reason. You can mock the nuclear family, traditional religions and beliefs, heterosexuality, law enforcement in almost any context (e..g., immigration), and traditional grooming choices.

Dare I say, This is why they are so fucked up?

* Pennsylvania recently enacted a law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of hair styles. No kidding.

Woke people are in favor of diversity of race and sexual orientation. They consider themselves entitled to suppress opinions they do not like and cannot refute.
