California, didn't even observe slavery .. in fact, the state outlawed slavery one year after statehood (in 1848). What a brilliant plan .. and hopefully, one of the provisions negates black people who receive reparations from bitching and complaining about their "grievances."

So you want the citizens of a state that never had slavery, to pay people who were never slaves for things their great, great grandparents had done to them by people who never lived in California. You don't understand how this is going to work. The rest of the country is going to pay for California's foolhardy effort at virtue signalling...

California would have to lean heavily on large amounts of federal aid to cover the cost. Inevitably, California leaders will beg Washington for a federal bailout “to help working families,” thereby forcing residents in the rest of the country, who did not vote for nor support the payouts, to fund California’s reparation folly.
